Dr. Jacqueline Harding MA Cert ED

Director Tomorrow’s Child, Director Parentchannel.tv

Jacqueline set up Tomorrow’s Child (a specialised film production and media research company) following a successful career as BBC education editor, government consultant, head teacher, and author of best selling books for children and adults.

Internationally known as a leading child development expert, she has extensive experience of advising programme makers, web and interactive media designers how to match content to the needs of the developing child.

Tomorrow’s Child works with clients from across Europe to ensure that their media proposition for children is developmentally correct, engages the young developing brain in the nest way possible and offers an active experience.

Rachel Burrell

Personal Assistant, Producer, Scriptwriter

Since scriptwriting for Parentchannel, Rachel has produced and directed documentaries and worked on various children’s television projects.

Samuel Harding

Editor, Cameraman

Sam is the head editor at Tomorrows Child, having edited and directed many documentaries and research projects, he has many years of experience filming.

Holly Harding

Producer, Researcher, Scriptwriter

Holly has helped produce and direct many documentaries and co-ordinated the research for many children’s media research projects.

Faye Starr

Head of Research

Faye heads up our research department and has solid experience of managing media-related research projects.

Deborah Green

Children’s Researcher

Deborah has over twenty years of experience of working with children of all ages. She has a diploma in child development and is studying for a further diploma in children and nutrition.

Eileen Hayes

Parenting Consultant

A mother of four, Eileen Hayes MBE (services to children and families) is author, magazine columnist, trained family counsellor and frequent broadcaster on TV and radio. Her background includes degrees in psychology and health education, teaching, health promotion and research. Her current responsibilities include:

  • Chair of the Media and Cultural Change group for the Early Years Champions Government group
  • Patron of Parenting UK of which she was a founder member
  • Trustee of Brazelton Centre in the UK (and Brazelton trained in Information Communication)
  • Trustee of Best Beginnings (seeking an equal start for all babies)
  • Member of the Government sub-group on education for the early years
  • Eileen is Parenting Consultant for the new internet TV channel, The Parent Channel, www.parentchannel.tv

As a regular contributor to the media on family topics, on programmes like, “The Wright Stuff” and Jeremy Vine. Eileen has also made several series of Practical Parenting tips for Living Channel, and presented a parenting slot on BBC series A Family of My Own and Everyone’s Got One. She was Editor-in-Chief of Your Family magazine and website for five years; and is parenting expert on www.bbc.co.uk/parenting, and www.gurgle.com., and Parenting Consultant to Bounty who deliver publications to all new mothers in the UK.

Eileen has published several books on childcare, including Understanding Your Baby, Understanding Your Toddler (Egmont), Crying (Pan MacMillan), Tantrums (Hamlyn) and Crying and Comforting (Dorling Kindersley).

As Parenting advisor to NSPCC, she worked on major campaigns such as Full Stop and Protecting Babies and wrote a wide range of their publications, including Baby’s First Year, and “Encouraging Better Behaviour” as well as carrying out a great deal of their media response work on family issues.
